Bucket Pail Labeling Solution

The Bucket labeller machine is an easy to operate with label counter. A pre-set batch control, keyboard and digital display suitable for a range of large format cylindrical labelling applications. It has stepper motors for fast and accurate labelling and pneumatically controlled gating. A bucket lift with motorised drive assembly for optimum label placement. With opaque label detection as standard and easily adjustable pre-dispensing and label positioning with graduated scale.

A reliable solution for in-line pail and bucket labeling. A unique wipe-on label applicator arm is incorporated into either a VKPAK print and apply unit or label applicator to precisely label cylindrical containers such as pails and buckets. The belt driven applicator arm follows the circumference of the pail or drum to securely wipe on the label.

The system shown incorporates a VKPAK label applicator in a horizontal position to apply a pre-printed bucket label. This type of pail/bucket labeling system can apply a larger label such as a 6″ wide or 8.5″ wide label to ensure complete, readable information.

The Pail labeler is the industry’s most technologically advanced Pail labeling machine. It is specifically designed to accurately and efficiently apply front or front & back labels to large industrial round and square buckets, pails, jugs, and tubs. VKPAK’s unique approach uses wipe gates, air manipulation and servo-managed belt systems to guarantee consistent, wrinkle-free application. For wrapping buckets, pails, tubs, and jugs with handles, an optional orientation module orients the handles to the label for precision every time.

Unique Design Built For Maximized Pail Labeling Efficiency

At VKPAK, we are always looking for modes and methods that will help your facility optimize for maximum workload efficiency. Our pail labeler is built using that same methodology.

Attached to the labeler is an air-cylinder-operated, short travel, tilt-out vacuum grid (approx. 15″ in length), which incorporates several variable speed, stepper motor driven o-ring belts to assist and carry the feed of long, soft labels. Muffin fans are used for vacuum generation to hold the dry side of the label against the o-rings to impart travel.

A firm, felt wiper impresser attached at the end of the grid on the pail labeler is used to contact the surface of the product in order to press the label on for initial attachment; the label attaches as pulls off the grid by the advancing product.

The motorized o-rings move while labels dispense and stop when the leading edge of the label reaches the apex of the felt wipe. This is determined by a photoelectric label sensor that detects the stopping position and is consistent (even with varying label lengths).

Closely spaced, parallel handle guide rails (for a vertical position) are mounted to clear the top of each product in order to maintain in-line orientation, keeping the products from rotating out of position while traveling to the hold-down belt stabilizer assembly.

All these steps are done in tandem to ensure that your pail labeling process is continually maximizing capacity and eliminating downtime as much as possible.
